Since 1996, BlickDesign has created designs, graphic communications, online and offline marketing strategies and web designs. Founded in Bologna by Yvonne Schmidt, it’s a creative studio with a well-established international reputation that works with companies and exhibition organisers.

"Blick" in German means “to glance” or “visual ability”. Blick is our motto: to look at, analyse and study in order to create innovative thoughts, new ideas and creative strategies. With energy and passion, we pursue this path and always “look at” our clients' goals.

The steady growth of BlickDesign is all thanks to a combination of traditional German values and Italian design, alongside the contrast between the rigour of northern Europe and the creative ferment of the Mediterranean, combined with the free spirit of its creator. Responding to each new assignment with a keen understanding of business objectives, we provide our customers with an international point of view, innovative thinking and creative excellence.

In 2011, the Green fashion label, OrganicTribe, was launched. This is the brainchild of Yvonne Schmidt and is closely connected with BlickDesign. Whilst creating this identity, marketing strategies and product positioning were experienced first-hand. With great delight, we can offer a complete range of services, including branding, corporate identity, custom publishing, packaging and web-design.

BlickDesign is lead by womanpower so we are extremely proud to have received the special “Donne e Terre in movimento verso il mondo” (Women and landscapes are going global) award in 2014 (by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture of Bologna) for the export and circulation of “Made in Italy” beyond national borders.


Born in Germany, Yvonne Schmidt first began her studies in Mannheim then passed through Perugia and finished them in Milan. After finally arriving in Bologna, she immediately opened her studio for design and communications, receiving numerous recognitions - she was selected by the Italian Art Directors Club (Milan) as one of the first "Juniors" to be welcomed to the prestigious club.

To keep herself regularly informed on all developments in the Communications sector, she visited various countries around the world, including the US, Japan and England. Over different periods, she stayed and attended workshops and special courses, such as the Master for Design and Management of Exhibitions and Cultural Events at the Donau Universität Krems in Austria and the Stage for Graphic Design conducted by Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Yvonne's great passion for publishing has allowed her to become the Art Director for several magazines, including TUA Hairstylist, SINGLE Lifestyle (which is distributed nationally) and Elixir (a medical publication). Today, she is the Art Director of CHARME Magazine as well as other German publications, such as House Organs, ITG Motion Magazin and pfenning Echo.

In 2011, Yvonne launched OrganicTribe, her eco-friendly fashion label, where she is currently managing, first-hand, all business aspects, including design, production, marketing and distribution.
